Family Advocate

Join our mission-driven team at North Iowa Community Action Organization as a Family Advocate in our Head Start program! About the Role: Key Responsibilities: Establish positive, goal-oriented partnerships with families Assist families in setting and achieving individualized family goals Connect families with community resources such as housing, education, health, and employment services Support attendance, engagement, and participation in Head Start services Maintain accurate and confidential records and documentation Collaborate with teachers, health staff, and community partners to support family needs Conduct home visits and family conferences as required Qualifications: Associate’s degree in human services, social work, family studies, or related field required. (Bachelor’s degree preferred) Experience working with families from diverse backgrounds Strong interpersonal and communication skills Knowledge of community resources and ability to make appropriate referrals Organized, compassionate, and able to manage multiple tasks Why Work With Us?
