YohnCo. Announces Name Change
 
With a new owner, management group and products YohnCo. is rebranding

Founded in 1946, YohnCo. has been a regional leader in concrete ready-mix production for close to eighty years.  In January of 2025, all ready-mix assets were sold to Cemstone Concrete Materials based in Mendota Heights, MN.  Previous silent minority partner, Laura Yohn, purchased what remained of the company consisting of excavation, material hauling, and foundation building equipment.  With the previous majority owner no longer part of the company Laura has become the sole owner and guiding force behind Kettlefield.  
 
“We have a new owner and management group offering new products that have created the need to rebrand.  Most importantly, Kettlefield has a very different business style and philosophy in comparison to past leadership.” said Chad Nichols, Chief Financial Officer. Michael Moffett, Chief Operations Officer, rounds out Kettlefield’s management team. Michael comes to Kettlefield with 25 years of experience in the construction and excavation industries.
 
Kettlefield is a site development company based in Clear Lake and serving North Central Iowa.   Kettlefield specializes in civil, commercial and residential projects.  While Kettlefield can be hired to perform any of their offered services alone, the true benefit comes from being able to have one contractor to do all necessary work needed to prepare the site for the next stage of construction.  Kettlefield can demolish structures and remove pavement, grade the site, run utilities, excavate for foundations, pour footings and walls, and do finished concrete work such as basement floors, building pads, driveways and more.
Kettlefield offers special site development packages to fit the needs of any build.  Scheduling and coordination becomes much easier when dealing with just one contractor to prepare the entire site.  The more work that is packaged together, the more economical it becomes and Kettlefield passes those savings on to their customers.
