Community Health Center of Mason City Expands Services to Include Eye Exams
Mason City, IA — Community Health Center of Mason City is pleased to announce the addition of eye exams, further expanding access to essential healthcare and supporting the overall well-being of the community. The new service offers routine eye exams for patients ages 5 and older and is available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Appointments are welcome, and patients are encouraged to call 641-450-0601 to schedule an appointment. Eye exams will be conducted by a trained optical technician, who will guide patients throughout the visit, with an optometrist performing the exam. Routine eye exams will include thorough testing to evaluate overall eye health, including glaucoma testing and retinal imaging. Community Health Center of Mason City accepts Medicare, Medicaid, and most major insurance plans, including EyeMed and Avesis, to help cover the cost of eye exams. For patients who are uninsured or underinsured, a sliding fee scale is available to ensure care remains affordable. While Community Health Center currently offers eye exams only, patients will be able to obtain glasses or contact lenses through local optical providers or via online ordering. “The addition of eye exams is another tool to help improve the health and well-being of our community,” said Oteka Gonzalez, Mason City Office Manager. “Vision care is an important part of overall health, and we are proud to expand access to these services for our patients.” For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call 641-450-0601.
