Job Summary
The Executive Director- Mason City is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, operational management, and programmatic success of the organization within a designated region. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Executive Director ensures alignment with the organization’s mission, values, and goals while fostering strong community relationships, managing regional staff, and driving impact through effective program delivery and resource development.

Strategic Direction
What You Will Do:
- Lead, manage, and hold people accountable.
- Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to implement the organization strategic plan at the regional level.
- Oversee the implementation and evaluation of programs and services to ensure quality effectiveness and impact
- Monitor program outcomes and ensure compliance with organizational standards, and funding requirements
- Manage regional budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with organizational priorities
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and organizational policies
- Identify, assess, and inform the CEO of internal and external issues that affect the organization.
- Advocate for the needs of people experiencing homelessness on the local, state and national level.
- Partner with the development team to identify and cultivate funding opportunities, including grants, donations, and sponsorships
- Ensure that FOF core values and culture are maintained and met.
- Lead fundraising initiatives, build relationships with donors and grantors, and secure funding to support the organization's programs.
- Represent the organization to the public, build strong relationships with community partners, and engage with stakeholders to promote the organization's mission and impact.
- Audit programs and staff for documentation and data compliance.

Job Qualification and Competencies:
- Must demonstrate ability to organize, prioritize and plan work to meet deadlines.
- Ability to drive conflict and open conversation throughout the organization.
- Ensure confidentiality is in place for all people FOF serves.
- Bachelor’s Degree in human services, public administration, business leadership or comparable education and experience.
- Previous experience in the following preferred: victim services, homelessness, or EOS.
- Ability to travel throughout the FOF service area to provide in-person outreach services and to other locations within the state as necessary for training purposes.
- Ability to pass state, federal, and child abuse background checks.
