Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Position Overview: The CFO plays a vital role in ensuring the financial health and compliance of North Iowa Community Action Organization (NICAO) programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs fiscal activities of the organization
  • Prepare financial budgets, reports and analyzing projected program expenses
  • Oversee grant applications, amendments, and compliance requirements
  • Oversee monthly payroll processes (journal entries, benefit payments, etc.)
  • Prepare account reconciliations, journal entries, and excel spreadsheets
  • Prepare monthly financials and reports
  • Assist with annual audits and work collaboratively within the fiscal department

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (required).
  • Knowledge of fund accounting (preferred)
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
