Position Objective:  To perform duties as needed in manner that enhances the profitability and efficiency of North Iowa Cooperative and achieves overall company goals.
 
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
 

1. General Duties – including, but not be limited to the following:
   1. Custom application (Dry Spinner, Air Max, and VRT)
   2. Custom application (Liquid, and Post-emergent applications)
   3. Agronomy equipment and facilities maintenance and repairs
   4. Blending, loading and delivery of bulk fertilizers
   5. Handle bulk and packaged crop protection products (hazardous materials and 50# lift)
   6. Anhydrous Ammonia – Filling nurse tanks, farm delivery, equipment maintenance
   7. Seed delivery or warehouse duties
   8. Grain Semi Driver (and other grain handling)
   9. Other responsibilities as they become available
2. Safety
   1. Maintain any company equipment used in the performance of your job in good physical and mechanical condition
   2. Operate equipment in a safe manner and in compliance with all OSHA, state and federal regulations
   3. Communicate safe storage and handling procedures to all customers
   4. Adhere to all company safety policies as described in Company Handbook
   5. Attend Right-to-Know, safety, and anhydrous ammonia training as required.
3. Qualifications & Certifications
   1. High School Diploma (or equivalent) and valid driver’s license REQUIRED
   2. Agriculture background with basic mechanical aptitude and general knowledge of agronomy products strongly preferred
   3. Should obtain and maintain custom applicator certification (minimum of core plus 1A and 1B and 1C)
   4. Should attain and maintain Class A CDL with Haz Mat – Tanker - Air Brakes.
4. Efficiency
   1. Perform duties in an efficient manner so that excessive overtime is not required by yourself or others in the company
5. Other Duties

   2.  Overtime required during peak seasons including weekends
   3. Perform other duties not listed in this description as required by management
