Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Clerk to support our Fiscal Department. This position plays an essential role in maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with daily accounting operations that help our programs serve families and communities across North Iowa.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and record accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare deposits, reconcile accounts, and maintain financial files.
  • Assist with payroll processing and benefits reconciliation as needed.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Verify documentation and ensure compliance with agency policies and funding requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with internal staff and external vendors.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate degree (AA) or equivalent in Accounting, Business, or a related field required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of account information systems preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently multi-task.
  • Attention to detail.
