Trouble in River City! - Friends of the 457
The trouble is.... If the Friends of the 457 can't find new volunteers to take over for those who have "aged out", the gardens will return to weeds and overgrowth, the train sounds will fade into the distance, and the smoke and steam will trail away. This is the "do or die" moment for the Rotary Cannonball as we've known it for the past 20 years.
Volunteers are desperately needed to keep the 1912 steam locomotive open to the public and to assist in maintaining the beautiful Cannonball Gardens that surround the engine.
