Bank Iowa Welcomes Clear Lake Community to New Location 

Open house and ribbon cutting scheduled for June 18, 2025
 

(West Des Moines, Iowa – May 21, 2025) — Bank Iowa is celebrating the opening of its 24th Iowa location in Clear Lake on June 18, 2025. The open house event is open to the public and will run from 4 to 6 p.m. with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4:45 p.m. 

The new location is located at 1919 US-18 in Clear Lake, and lobby doors officially open at 9:00 a.m. on May 29, 2025. Drive-thru service begins at 8:30 a.m. 

With more than $2 billion in assets, Bank Iowa is the second-largest family-owned bank in the state, serving a range of clientele from families and farmers to small businesses and Iowa enterprises. The financial institution will celebrate its 50th year in business in 2026. 

According to Bank Iowa President/CEO Jim Plagge, the Clear Lake office, which is situated about an hour away from each of the bank’s Humboldt and New Hampton locations, fits well within the bank’s northern Iowa regional footprint. Locations in Fredericksburg, Lawler and Waucoma round out Bank Iowa’s presence in the area.
