DEI Training Series: The Importance of Digital Accessibility
Is your website ADA compliant?
Website accessibility is an important topic in today’s highly digital world. Web accessibility not only assists businesses in reaching more people, it also supports equity and inclusion initiatives, and ensures compliance with civil rights requirements.
In an effort to assist Chamber members with digital accessibility, the Chamber is partnering with two member organizations to provide training on this significant topic, offered as the second workshop in the Building CommUNITY DEI Speaker Series.
Representatives from Iowa State University Extension & Outreach and WebWise will explain why digital accessibility is important and offer real solutions to assist in upgrading websites to achieve and maintain ADA compliance. The session is scheduled from 12-1PM on Tuesday, November 15 at the Commerce Center. Attendees are welcome to attend in-person, or via zoom link.
Chamber members who have taken the Certified Inclusive Employer pledge are invited to attend this session for FREE as part of their ongoing Building CommUNITY DEI training. For more information on the Chamber’s Building CommUNITY initiative or to take the pledge, contact the Chamber at 641-423-5724.
