The Child Care Works team is hosting an Employer Engagement Breakfast at 7:30AM on Thursday, September 18 at the Commerce Center.
 

Child Care Works has been taking steps to address the shortage of child care in our region through a wage supplement program. During breakfast, they'll share the great success this program has had and the challenges they face in the year ahead.

 

September 18 will also be recognized as a "Day Without Child Care." Thanks to a donation from Metalcraft, all of the child care centers in Cerro Gordo County will be distributing stickers to parents during drop-off. These stickers indicate that the parent would be unable to work without reliable care. Employers are asked to take the time to reflect on the number of people in their business wearing stickers and the impact child care has on their operations.
