The next Breaking Glass: Women's Leadership Series session will feature Emily Peters from 8:30-10AM on Thursday, March 14.
Emily Peters graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Agricultural Business and Applied Economics, and a minor in Consumer Affairs. During college, she also studied International Agriculture in the Czech Republic. Her love for business, and the desire to make a difference, led her to Union Pacific Railroad where she began her career in 2012. Since, she has worked in various business units including Intermodal, Scrap Steel, Food & Refrigerated, LPG, Crude Oil & Petroleum, Grain, and Grain Products. Currently, she serves as a Sales Manager, overseeing a book of agricultural business worth over $770M in revenue. As a former Franklin Covey instructor, she’s traveled the mid-west specializing in decision management coaching. Emily currently serves on the Board of Directors for North Iowa Economic Development and Habitat for Humanity of North Central Iowa. In 2022, she was appointed to the Iowa Organic Advisory Board by Governor Reynolds. She previously served on the Boards of Iowa Corn District 2, The Literacy Center, and the Platte Institute of Nebraska. Emily, and her husband, Brandon (“Maverick”), own their own real estate and property management business. She is a licensed realtor and loves helping people find their dream homes. Emily is a devoted wife and mother, who is passionate about real estate, economic development, agriculture, and her faith. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, and is always willing to play a board game. She is proud to be a part of North Iowa, and proud to be an American!
