The North Iowa Day on the Hill is fast approaching! On April 3, a group of Chamber members and community partners will board a bus and travel to Des Moines to advocate on behalf of our region.

Why is this important? It’s crucial for our region to have a presence at the Capitol. Too often, the attention goes to larger cities in our state, while more rural areas are left out of the conversation OR grouped as one entity with the same concerns.

While many of the issues we face in North Iowa are similar to those faced by businesses and cities around the state, there are important differences in the needs of our communities. We are also working on some exciting and unique projects that we want to showcase to our state leaders.

We plan to leave Mason City at 8AM and return by 4PM. The cost to attend is just $15 to cover the cost of lunch at the Capitol. I ask that you RSVP by March 28 to ensure we have a seat.
