North Iowa STEM Festival

Join us for a night of fun, interactive, hands-on learning for kindergarten-6th grade students! The goals of the STEM Festival are to promote, inspire and engage youth in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics activities and to introduce children and parents to STEM careers.

• Discover how the internet travels using light and radio waves
• Encounter live animals and learn about environmental education
• Experiment with sound, hearing, and vibrations
• Explore how sunlight can make things move
• Race mini solar cars
• Create spinners out of recycled CDs
• Try a welding simulator
• See real crash reconstruction technology used in investigations
• Learn how rockets launch into space and design your own spacecraft
• Build your own Simple Grabber and improve your design like a real engineer
