Building CommUNITY: Resources for Disabilities
Including people with disabilities in the workforce is an important part of community inclusion. Join us for our next Building CommUNITY session at 1PM on Thursday, July 25 at the Commerce Center to learn about employing people with disabilities.
The Iowa Department of Human Services and Iowa Workforce Development are teaming up to provide information and resources on this important topic. This session will cover the importance of work for well-being, how people with disabilities can help your business, integrating people with disabilities into the workplace, and more. Iowa Workforce Development and Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation will cover business and tax incentives and the benefits of employing people with disabilities.
Local organizations will also be in attendance with resource information.
