DESCRIPTION:The State of North Iowa is an opportunity to hear directly from city and county leadership from Mason City\, Clear Lake\, and Greater North Iowa as they highlight recent accomplishments\, outline future goals\, and offer ideas about current business and community issues. This event compliments the Vision North Iowa strategic planning efforts.\n\n\n\nAs an initiative of the county-wide strategic plan\, the Chamber will host an event this month to report to business leaders and citizens exactly which goals in the Vision North Iowa plan have been accomplished\, and what progress has been made on others.\n\n\n\nWorkforce attraction and retention is the biggest issue facing local business\, and the Vision North Iowa partners have implemented several strategies to address this ongoing problem. At this year's event\, Main Street Capital partners will present on the projected future surrounding the Southbridge Mall renovation and the Hyatt Place Hotel. Attendees will also hear updates on the exciting Destination Iowa projects from the Clear Lake Surf District Revitalization Project and the Bike North Iowa Project.
