DESCRIPTION:The Gathering: Coming Together Around Local Food is an interactive gathering that inspires and promotes a deeper understanding of how to engage in the local food system.\n\nCome explore all of the exciting activities\, including:\n\n\n	The Market Place   Meet local food and farm businesses\, and shop local product for sale.\n	Mini Workshops   Expand your knowledge of buying\, using\, and growing local food.\n	Kid's Edition   Hands-on\, educational activities will be available.\n\n\nOur 2021 event planning team is working on an event that will be a hybrid between online and in-person offerings for both shopping and the engaging activities. As per Cerro Gordo Public Health recommendations\, we will be following all current masking and social distance recommendations for large events and gatherings.\n\nInformation as to specific vendors\, mini-workshops and kids activities will be announced closer to the event.\n\nMini-Workshops will include topics such as:\n\n\n	"Stop - Don't Pull the Weed!" with Journey Health Shop\n	Protecting Iowa Land for Healthy Food Farming with Sustainable Iowa Land Trust - SILT\n	How to Buy Local Meat with Lewrights Meats and Purple Ribbon Beef\n	"What is a CSA?" with North Iowa Fresh\, LLC\, @twisted River\n	"Too Good To Waste" with Net ZRO Renewable Energy
