Hewitt is a graduate of the Kellogg Graduate School of Business at Northwestern University where he earned his MBA. He also holds a BS degree in finance from Drake University. Hewitt currently serves on the boards of MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center and the Drake University College of Business and Public Administration. He is a past board member of United Way of North Central Iowa and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.
