Hy-Vee updated hours and procedures

Our NEW STORE HOURS will be as follows:

8am-8pm 7 days a week for the general public.

During these difficult times, the hour of 7am-8am will be designated for senior citizens, 7 days a week.

Because of the COVID-19 outbreak, we will be temporarily suspending our return, refund and rain check policy until further notice. Because we can’t trace where our products go after they leave our store, we will no longer accept items for returns beginning March 24. With this change, our customers can feel safe knowing that all products they purchase at their local Hy-Vee have been in our stores the entire time. If you by chance find a perishable product that does not meet our standards for freshness, then we will gladly exchange that product for a new one.

To better protect the well-being of our employees and customers, we have installed temporary window panels at checkouts. Since our customers and employees can’t distance themselves at the checkout like they can in other areas of the store, these temporary panels will help provide an additional layer of protection against the spread of the COVID-19 virus. We will be installing these panels at all of our stores across our eight-state region over the next few days.

Beginning Friday, March 20, customers will no longer be allowed to bring in their reusable bags until further notice. While we appreciate our customers’ commitment to sustainability, it isn’t always easy to know the sanitization procedures customers are using to clean the bags. And during these times, this is one more way we can potentially prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus and keep our customers and employees healthy.

Because of COVID-19 concerns, we will be temporarily closing all of our in-store dining. Shoppers can continue to pick up freshly-prepared options from our food service areas to take home.

Starting tomorrow, March 19, all Hy-Vee stores will reserve one hour of shopping time each day for customers at higher risk for illness. Customers age 60 or older, expectant mothers and anyone with an underlying health condition that makes them more vulnerable to illness can shop from 7 to 8 a.m., seven days a week, at any Hy-Vee store. All other customers – please visit us during our new store hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
