Job Description

Established Mason City CPA firm has an opening for a seasonal Receptionist. We are looking for someone who is energetic, friendly, professional, and well organized. This is a seasonal position from early February through April 16, 2019. Position is 30-35 hours per week and candidates must be available during normal business hours. Exact schedule is flexible and may be changed periodically, subject to approval.

Pay rate - $10 per hour.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Answer telephones and greet walk-in visitors
  • Tax return assembly and processing
  • High volume document scanning and filing
  • Generate and manage project tracking reports using client database
  • Sort, organize, and track client records
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies
  • Receiving and sorting daily incoming mail
  • Deliver outgoing mail to post office as needed
  • Manage client database and document management system
  • Special projects as assigned


  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must be computer savvy and proficient in MS Word and MS Excel
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Prior administrative experience a plus

Job Type: Temporary

Salary: $10.00 /hour
