DESCRIPTION:Breaking Glass Leadership Series\n\n\n\nThe Women's Leadership Series "Breaking Glass" offers a unique learning experience to help women stretch their leadership potential\, drive their careers with vision and purpose\, and make a greater impact within their organizations. These workshops will challenge attendees to explore their role as a woman in the workforce.\n\n\n\nNorma Cook Everist\, Professor\, Author and International Speaker \n\nNorma grew up in Mason City and graduated from NIACC. She received a BA\, two Masters degrees and a Ph.D. Not only were there glass ceilings\, but rigid institutional barriers for women who wished to serve professionally in the Church. But she persisted and became many "firsts" in her field. Norma worked in St. Louis\, Detroit and New Haven\, Ct. She taught at Yale Divinity School and then for 38 years at Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque. As a teaching theologian\, she has spoken in over 36 states and in countries on four continents. She has published 14 books and over a hundred articles. She encourages: "When a door opens a crack\, walk through and open it further for others to enter."
